Body of missing Trail, B.C., senior found
Ida Cragnolini had dementia and had gone missing in the past
The body of a 70-year-old woman with dementia has been found.
Ida Cragnolini went missing in Trail B.C. on Sunday, according to the RCMP.
RCMP, search and rescue teams and members of the public had been searching for Cragnolini after she left her residence near the Waneta Plaza shopping mall Sunday morning.
She was last seen around 4 p.m. PT in the east Trail area.
Her body was located before noon on Tuesday in the Miral Heights area not far from where she was last spotted, according to a family friend.
Approximately 200 people participated in search
There are no indications of foul play, according to police.
Approximately 200 people, including members of several West Kootenay search and rescue teams participated in the search, according to South Columbia Search and Rescue manager Mike Hudson.
Cragnolini was well-known in Trail's Italian community.
She moved to Christina Lake, B.C. several years ago but had since returned to Trail.
