The Squamish Nation Youth Powwow takes place July 11-13
Celebrate Indigenous resilience, joy, and the spirit of the youth at the 3rd annual Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) Youth Powwow from July 11 to 13 at X̱wemelch'stn Village (Capilano Reserve Park) on the traditional territory of the Squamish Nation in Xwmelch'stn IR No. 5.
CBC is honoured to be welcomed as the exclusive media partner of the family-friendly event to empower youth while celebrating Indigenous culture, music, and community. This three-day cultural gathering invites friends, neighbours, and visitors from around the world to experience the heartbeat of the community.
Highlights of this year's event includes Powwow dancing and singing competitions, over 100 Indigenous artisan vendors, authentic Indigenous cuisine, nine of the biggest and best drum groups from across Turtle Island, and so much more!
