After a three-day search, there is still no trace of a missing Ontario couple last seen Monday heading toward an Alpine lake in a remote provincial park, near Keremeos, B.C.

Search and rescue teams have been scouring trails and forests in the Cathedral Lakes area looking for experienced hikers Rick Moynan and Lynne Carmody, both in their 50s, but have so far had no luck finding any clues as to their whereabouts.

"How long do we continue to search? Especially when there has been no sign," said RCMP Corp. Dave Tyreman.

"I mean somebody making an arrow with rocks on a path, or some kind of sign where they are tying cloth or material to a tree, or leaving messages. There has just been nothing of that found so far."

The RCMP helicopter will keep doing flyovers, until it's needed elsewhere, according to Tyreman.
