Cochrane police release sketches of men accused of stealing $4,000 bulldog puppy
Suspects shoved owner to the ground before fleeing with 8-week-old puppy
RCMP have released composite sketches of two men who allegedly grabbed a $4,000 French bulldog puppy from a breeder in Cochrane before fleeing in a getaway car.
Though police initially said two people were involved in the robbery, they're now investigating the involvement of a third person.
Police say two men entered the home of the puppy's owner on Sunday around 8:30 p.m.
They told her they were interested in purchasing one of the puppies from a recent litter, and one of the men picked up a puppy and ran. The animal is valued at $4,000.
When the homeowner tried to follow, one of the men pushed her to the ground.
RCMP say the men fled to a blue sports car, where a woman — believed to be Hispanic or Asian with brown hair and a slender build — was waiting.
The first man is described as being five feet ten inches or five feet eleven inches tall, with darker skin and short brown "well-styled" hair with a slender build. He was wearing a blue jacket with a white polo shirt, blue jeans and white Converse-style sneakers.
The second man also has darker skin. He is five feet, six or seven inches tall, with a thicker build, full lips, brown hair and inset eyes. He was wearing khaki beige pants, tapered at the bottom and a tan T-shirt with black geometric designs.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
