A man who was digging in a field north of Turner Valley in southern Alberta ruptured a natural gas line and died but a second man who was the area escaped harm.

A man who was digging in a field north of Turner Valley in southern Alberta has died after rupturing a natural gas line.
Emergency crews were called to the rural property southwest of Calgary shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
