May 6 and 8: Women in the North Conference

We were proud to sponsor the 2025 Women in the North conference. This unique opportunity allowed women to grow their professional skill set with a one-day workshop-based conference in northern Alberta.

We first heard about this conference in 2024 when we hosted a community event at the Peace River Municipal Library and knew we had to be a part of their next event. We can't wait to see where this partnership takes us.

Do you have an upcoming event in your community that you want CBC to know about? Fill out a partnership request form here or reach us at edm.communications@cbc.ca

May 27 and 28: Lloydminster listening, learning and returning!

We visited Lloydminster to speak with community leaders and residents about what they love most about living in Lloydminster and the types of stories they'd like to see covered by our upcoming permanent bureau.

Be the first to hear some of these stories on June 14, when we return to Lloydminster for a unique broadcast featuring the weekend morning shows from both Alberta and Saskatchewan in one venue.

Newsroom tours

Did you know we offer tours of our station? This past month alone, we hosted junior high classes, English language learners and more.

Learn how a radio broadcast team works and have your picture taken in the TV studios. You might even get the chance to meet your favourite local CBC host.

Students in French immersion can also stop by the Oniva! studio.

The best part? Tours are entirely free.
