Const. David Wynn public visitation held Sunday afternoon

A public visitation is being held in Edmonton Sunday afternoon for the RCMP officer killed in a shooting at a St. Albert casino last weekend.
Const. David Wynn, 42, was investigating a suspicious vehicle at the Apex Casino Jan. 17 along with another officer, 49-year-old Aux. Const. Derek Bond, when the pair was shot by Shawn Maxwell Rehn.
Both officers were taken to hospital. Bond, who was hit in the arm and torso, was later released. Wynn, who had been shot close range in the head, never regained consciousness, and died days later.

The visitation will be held at the St. Albert Alliance Church (25416 S. HWY 633). Family and friends are invited between 4 - 5 p.m. MT, while police and emergency service workers can visit from 5 - 6 p.m. MT.
The visitation will open to the general public for two hours, beginning at 6 p.m. MT.
A regimental funeral for Wynn will be held Monday afternoon. CBC will have live coverage on TV and on CBC.ca beginning at 1:30 p.m. MT.
