Police charge man with murder following suspicious death in Brantford, Ont.

A Brantford man faces a first-degree murder charge in connection with a suspicious death, police said.

A Brantford, Ont., man faces a murder charge in connection with a suspicious death, police said.

According to Brantford police, the 48-year-old was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with first-degree murder.

The arrest comes after police said they were called to a motel on Friday at around 11 p.m. ET at the intersection of Colborne Street near Locks Road for an injured person inside a room.

Police said a 34-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 48-year-old man was also charged for breach of probation, police told CBC Hamilton in an email.

The investigation is ongoing, police said, adding no further information would be released at this time.
