Hamilton police have arrested and charged a third man after Marko Bakir was shot dead at his West Mountain home almost four years ago.

The 31-year-old Hamiltonian died in the evening of Nov. 22, 2018.

Police previously said a neighbour found Bakir lying in his own driveway that night. Several residents reported hearing loud bangs they believed to be shots.

Officers say Bakir was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews tried to save him.

Police say the accused, a 43-year-old Hamilton man, has been charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

They say he will make a brief court appearance Thursday at the John Sopinka Courthouse.

In May, police charged a 28-year-old and 25-year-old, charging them with first-degree murder.
