Two Guelph police officers had the tires of their bicycles slashed while on a call in the city Saturday evening.

The officers — who are members of the force's high enforcement action team (HEAT) were called to an address on Carden Street in downtown Guelph Saturday at 7:25 p.m.

While the officers were dealing with that call, someone slashed both tires on the two bikes.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Sgt. Arif Hasham or Crime Stoppers.
