CBC Kitchener-Waterloo's annual campaign to raise food and funds for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is going to look a little different this year.
Our kick-off event for Make The Season Kind will be The Evening Edition — a spin on CBC K-W's morning show The Morning Edition with host Craig Norris.
When: Friday, Dec. 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for your chance to check out the exhibitions on all four floors.

This show will feature:
I, the Mountain
I, the Mountain is a four piece indie-folk band from Kitchener who have a passion for building community through music.
Mandippal
Mandippal is a singer-songwriter from Kitchener who blends poetry and pop/rock.
Eastwood's Combo No. 5
This jazz sextet is made up of students from Eastwood Collegiate Institute in Kitchener.
Terry Salmond
Local chef and Top Chef Canada runner-up Terry Salmond will do a cooking demonstration and talk about the work he does with Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.
The night also features interviews with:
- Food bank CEO Kim Wilhelm and long-time volunteer Amanda Stanzel.
- Members of the Radha Krishna Mandir and Cultural Centre.
- Volunteers with Tiny Home Takeout and Food4Kids.
Volunteers with The Food Bank of Waterloo Region will be on hand to collect your donations that night, and you'll also have a chance to meet the CBC K-W team, including The Morning Edition's Craig Norris, Joe Pavia and Josette Lafleur.
Last year, the Sounds of the Season campaign raised more than $90,000.

Delicious, low-cost dishes
Each year, a chef from the region has been part of the show, offering up ideas for delicious meals that can be made using canned or boxed items or for very little money.
