12-year-old dead after bicycle collides with farm equipment near Mount Forest

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wellington North Fire Service, and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service were called to the property near Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 around 10 a.m. on Saturday for a report that a child riding a bicycle had collided with the skid steer.

A 12-year-old child is dead after a collision between a bicycle and a skid steer on a farm near Mount Forest.

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wellington North Fire Service, and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service were called to the property near Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 around 10 a.m. on Saturday for a report that a child riding a bicycle had collided with the skid steer. 

The child was taken to a trauma hospital by Ornge air ambulance in critical condition. 

In a release Tuesday, OPP said the child had been pronounced dead in hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.

OPP are investigating the cause of the collision.
