4 men charged with 2nd-degree murder in February homicide: Winnipeg police

Four men have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 35-year-old man in Winnipeg’s William Whyte area earlier this year.

Four men have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 35-year-old man in Winnipeg's William Whyte area earlier this year.

On Feb. 25, Winnipeg police were called to a house on Magnus Avenue, between Andrews and McGregor streets, where they found Matthew Robert Pelletier dead.

In an update Thursday, police said homicide investigators arrested four people in connection with Pelletier's death between July 7 and 16. 

Derek Donald Franklin, 43, Clinton William Wirffel, 40, Charlie Bronson Keeper, 37, and Eric Jade Wirffel, 40, have all been charged with second-degree murder. The men remain in custody, police said. 

Franklin is also charged with possession of a weapon and breaching release order charges, police said. Clinton Wirffel has also been charged with two breaches of release orders.
