A fourth person has now been charged in connection with the homicide of Aron Lunan.

Lunan, 35, was found dead in a rural area near Grand Coulee, Sask., west of Regina, on June 10.

RCMP determined the death was a homicide and that the case had "originated" within the City of Regina, putting it in the jurisdiction of Regina Police Service, according to a news release.

Since the start of July, Regina police had arrested three people in connection with Lunan's death:

  • Britain Volk, 24, on July 1.
  • Patrick Akapew, 30, on July 3.
  • Tyler Edwards, 38, on July 3.

On Tuesday, Regina police announced 37-year-old Kayla Mitton as the fourth arrest made in connection with the death.

All four have been charged with first-degree-murder.
