Hundreds of people turned out for a benefit social in honour of Winnipeg jockey Alyssa Selman on Sunday, raising an estimated $30,000.

Selman was thrown from her horse in a race at Assiniboia Downs last month. She suffered a spinal cord injury and has lost the use of her legs.
