Winnipeg man, 23, drowns in Whiteshell Provincial Park

A 23-year-old man from Winnipeg drowned Thursday in Caddy Lake in Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park.

A 23-year-old man from Winnipeg drowned Thursday in Caddy Lake in Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park.

Emergency crews were called around 1:20 p.m. after two men went into the water but only one resurfaced, said a news release from the RCMP.

Members of the local fire department found the missing man under water.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP continue to investigate.
