RCMP found two people suffering gunshot wounds, after responding to a report of a possible shooting at a home on Keeseekoowenin shortly before 3 a.m. on July 28, police previously said. RCMP said the shooting was believed to be targeted.

A 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead inside the home, while a 26-year-old man was medevaced to hospital in serious condition and has since been released.

Frank La Forge, 52, from Keeseekoowenin First Nation is now wanted on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder, RCMP said in a news release on Wednesday.

He's described as five feet, eight inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and a bald head.

La Forge should not be approached, police say. Anyone who sees him should call 911.

Police believe La Forge is in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead, but say he has connections to the Kamsack and Yorkton areas in eastern Saskatchewan.

Keeseekoowenin is located about 240 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
