33-year-old man wanted for 2nd-degree murder in Cumberland Avenue killing

Winnipeg police are asking for help to find a man wanted for second-degree murder in connection with the killing of 39-year-old Ralph Moise, who died in hospital after he was found with serious upper-body injuries on Cumberland Avenue last month.

Winnipeg police are asking for help to find a man wanted for second-degree murder in connection with the killing of 39-year-old Ralph Moise, who died in hospital after he was found with serious upper-body injuries on Cumberland Avenue last month. 

Paul Xavier Bonnick, 33, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder in connection with Moise's death, police said in a Saturday news release.

At 1 a.m. on May 23, Winnipeg police were called with a report of an injured man in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue, in the Central Park area. 

Moise, a member of Sayisi Dene First Nation, was found on the ground with serious upper-body injuries and was given emergency medical care before being taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

While investigators are asking for the public's help to find Bonnick, police warn he may be armed and is considered dangerous. Police said the public should not approach him if he is seen.
