Winnipeg police are trying to identify three people who were seen in the East Elmwood where a 24-year-old man, who later died, was found injured on a sidewalk earlier this month.

Police were called just before 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 to Keenleyside Street, between Manhattan Avenue and Kent Road. Joseph Campbell was found injured on the sidewalk and rushed to hospital, where he died.

Police say three males were seen in the area at the time Campbell was injured and are considered persons of interest. They're asking anyone with information on their identity, or who has video surveillance in the area from that night, to contact investigators.

The homicide unit can be reached at 204-986-6508, while anonymous tips can also be left with Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477, or online through the agency's website.
