Tornado warnings end for parts of south-central Manitoba on Monday night

A tornado warning for some parts of southcentral Manitoba ended on Monday night.

A tornado warning for some parts of south-central Manitoba ended on Monday night.

The rural municipality of Macdonald, including the communities of Brunkild, Starbuck and La Salle, and the rural municipality of Morris, including Rosenort and Aubigny, were under the tornado warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada shortly before 7 p.m. Monday.

The warning ended around 7:20 p.m., when a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for those regions. The warning has since ended as well.

The cities of Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie, as well as the Interlake region, are also under a severe thunderstorm watch issued shortly before 7 p.m., according to ECCC.
