Woman charged with manslaughter after man's suspicious death in 2022

A 67-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter in the 2022 death of a 65-year-old man, police say.

A woman has been charged with manslaughter in the 2022 death of a 65-year-old man, Winnipeg police say.

David Zurawell, 65, was found dead by officers, responding to a report of a suspicious death at a home in the one-to-99 block of Sardelle Cres., in the Maples neighbourhood, on Dec. 8, 2022, police said in a news release on Tuesday.

Zurawell's death was investigated by homicide detectives, who arrested a 67-year-old woman last week, the police said.

Alma Zurawell has been charged with manslaughter and detained in custody.

The police did not say how Zurawell died.
