A man was killed when he was hit by a semi-trailer truck on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Brandon on Thursday night.
RCMP received call saying man was walking in middle of driving lane

A man was killed when he was hit by a semi-trailer truck on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Brandon on Thursday night.
RCMP were called around 8:30 p.m. about a man walking in the middle of one of the driving lanes about 10 kilometres west of Brandon in the rural municipality of Whitehead.
As officers headed to the area, another call came in that the man had been hit by a westbound semi.
Police arrived soon after and the man was pronounced dead.
He is believed to be in his late 40s but his identity has yet to be confirmed, RCMP said.
The driver of the semi, a 25-year-old man from Regina, was not physically injured.
