RCMP upgrade charges to 2nd-degree murder in fatal shooting near Ebb and Flow First Nation
Police responded to a report of a shooting on Highway 278 on Dec. 15, man died of injuries

A man is facing second-degree murder charges after Manitoba RCMP upgraded his original manslaughter charge laid in relation to a fatal shooting on a highway near Ebb and Flow First Nation last December.
On Dec. 15, Ste. Rose RCMP responded to a report of a shooting on Highway 278, east of Dauphin, Man.
When officials arrived, they found a 34-year-old man lying beside a truck. He was taken to a hospital in Dauphin but died of his injuries.
Cyril St. Paul, 53, was charged with manslaughter three days later.
On Monday, Manitoba RCMP major crime services upgraded his charge to second-degree murder.
St. Paul still remains in custody, police said in a news release.
