Winnipeg's executive policy committee has voted to review a 20-year, $334 million plan for new walking and biking paths in the city.

On Tuesday, Mayor Brian Bowman said city council would take a second-look at the active transportation plan – specifically how the public consultation process worked.

On Wednesday, EPC approved that motion and heard from a number of cyclists who were in favour of the plan.

Bowman said the city needed more time to review public input on the project.

"The feedback I received from some was that they didn't feel that they had enough time or avenues to provide their input to the process, and I wanted to let them know that we are listening," he said.

The plan will be reviewed and won't return to city hall until at least June.
