Man wanted in assault of forcibly confined woman in Winnipeg turns himself in
Joey Michael Audy, 35, arrested Tuesday but Evelyn Marie McKay, 40, remains wanted, police say

A Winnipeg man wanted in connection with the assault and forcible confinement of a woman earlier this month has turned himself in, police say, but they're still looking for a woman believed to have been involved in the attack.
Joey Michael Audy, 35, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, robbery and forcible confinement, according to a news release.
Audy remains in police custody.
The charges came after a 27-year-old woman was violently assaulted and forcibly restrained over several hours at an apartment suite on Carlton Street on Dec. 9, police said Wednesday.
After the assault, the woman was forced into a dumpster while still restrained, police said. She remained in the dumpster for about an hour, in sub-zero temperatures, until someone heard the woman's screams and freed her.
Evelyn Marie McKay, 40, is still wanted on robbery and forcible confinement charges in relation to the attack, police say.
Police ask anyone with information on McKay's whereabouts to contact 911.
Last week, police said they had already arrested two people on forcible confinement charges.
They also identified three more people who were at large and believed to be involved in the incident: Audy, McKay and Romeo Chris Miles.
Miles, 27, was arrested on Friday and charged with robbery, forcible confinement and two counts of failure to comply with conditions of a release order, police said.
