A Winnipeg man faces charges for driving carelessly causing death in a crash last year, police say.

A Winnipeg man faces charges for driving carelessly causing death and driving with a suspended or disqualified licence in a crash last year, police say. 

A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged on Friday in relation to the death of a driver in his 40s, a news release said Monday.

Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at Lagimodiere Boulevard and Cottonwood Road in the St. Boniface area around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2024. 

A man in his 40s died in hospital, police previously reported. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital in stable condition and was treated for minor injuries.

The 29-year-old man has been released with a promise to appear in court to face the charges.
