63-year-old man found after being reported missing in Winnipeg

A 63-year-old man who went missing last week has been found, Winnipeg police said.

Police said Tuesday afternoon the man had last been seen in the area of Portage Avenue and Moray Street on Thursday, and they were concerned about his safety. A silver alert — which is activated when a vulnerable adult is reported missing — was triggered.

A few hours later, police issued an update saying they'd safely located him.

CBC News has removed the man's name and photo now that he has been found in order to protect his privacy.
