A 48-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with numerous offences related to luring and sexual assault involving youth.

A 49-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with numerous offences related to luring and sexual assaults involving youth.

Winnipeg police allege the man used social media to exchange intimate images with the youth and give them drugs, alcohol and money between late 2023 and mid-2024, a news release from police said Friday.

He has been charged with two counts each of luring a person under 16, obtaining sexual services from someone under 18, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference and sexual assault.

The man remains in custody.
