CBC journalists in Quebec recognized with 2 national RTDNA awards

CBC teams in Quebec have won two national awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association: CBC Montreal for best overall website, and Quebec AM for its radio coverage of the death of Jacques Parizeau.

CBC teams in Quebec have taken home two national awards, including best overall website, from the Canadian Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).

The RTDNA awards honour the best journalists and news-gathering organizations on radio, television and digital platforms across Canada.

The awards were handed out in Toronto this weekend.

Here are CBC Quebec's winners:

Digital Media – Large Market

For the second year in a row, CBC Montreal was recognized as the best overall website with the Digital Media — Large Market award.

This prize is awarded to the news organization that makes the best use of new media technology in the presentation of its news coverage, based on editorial excellence, design, navigation and engagement.

The judges considered the following stories from 2015 for the award:

Quebec AM won the Peter Gzowski Award for its radio coverage the morning that the death of former Quebec premier Jacques Parizeau became public.

Quebec AM is hosted by Susan Campbell.
