City Coun. Marc-André Gadoury was present at the congress this week in Minneapolis, where it was revealed that Montreal would be the next host city.
"It appears that on the international level we really are the envy," Gadoury told CBC Montreal's Homerun.
He gave a presentation on Montreal's snow removal policy for winter bike paths at the conference.
"The bike culture in Montreal is so strong, and there are lots of winter cyclists, and we do have cycle tracks [that] are well maintained."
