30-year-old injured by gunfire in Montérégie
The SPVM wasn't the only police service called following an armed assault overnight Monday.
Provincial police intervened after an armed assault in the small municipality of Saint-Polycarpe in Montérégie near the Ontario border, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Élizabeth Marquis-Guy.
Around 9:30 p.m., the SQ received a call about a person in their 30s, found on the ground, who was shot on De l'Église Road.
The person had serious injuries when police arrived, but their condition stabilized once they reached the hospital.
