AMT train service on all three train lines has resumed after being suspended for almost an hour Wednesday after a truck rammed into the overpass on Guy Street.

The AMT announced the closure at 2:37 p.m.

About an hour later the AMT said the overpass had been inspected and was deemed safe.

This is the third time in recent months that a truck has hit the overpass.

Similar accidents caused commuter train interruptions on Aug. 31 and on Oct. 5.

For years, southbound truck drivers have overestimated the height of the overpass on Guy Street north of St-Antoine West, leading to frequent collisions.

Several years ago authorities installed a special sensor on the overpass that measures trucks and warns drivers of any danger of collision.
