A man is dead and another injured after a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Belledune, N.B.

A 26-year-old man died on Saturday evening after the vehicle he was driving rolled over several times, according to the New Brunswick RCMP.

Officers responded to the single-vehicle accident in Belledune around 6:40 p.m., according to a news release.

The driver from Petit-Rocher-Nord died at the scene on Colony Road.

RCMP say a passenger, a 30-year-old man, was injured and transported to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The crash is believed to have occurred when the vehicle lost control on a dirt road, and rolled over several times," RCMP say.

An investigation is underway.
