20-year-old man hospitalized following ATV accident in St. John's

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says a 20-year-old man remains in a St. John's hospital following an ATV accident late Saturday night.

Around midnight, RNC forensic and accident units, a police dog as well as members from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a report about the incident on Groves Road.

Police found the man unconscious.

He was transported to the Health Sciences Centre with undetermined injuries. 

Unconfirmed reports to CBC News suggested the man was thrown off his vehicle and landed on the roadway.

An investigation continues.
