ATV accident near St. John's sends man to hospital, driver charged

A man was treated in hospital Thursday afternoon after an all-terrain vehicle collision on the outskirts of St. John's.

The RNC and paramedics responded to reports of the crash at 12 p.m. on Northern Pond Road.

A man who was a passenger on the machine was taken to hospital with what police are calling non-life threatening injuries.

The 20-year-old man driving the ATV was treated at the scene.

He faces several charges for dangerous driving, not wearing a helmet and operating without insurance or registration.
