Body Break duo bring health conscious message to St. John's
Joanne McLeod and Hal Johnson from Body Break were in town this weekend, and they were preaching a familiar message — "keep fit and have fun"
The duo's signature sign-off still resonates with millions of Canadians, and they were in St. John's on Saturday to speak at the 2015 Canadian Diabetes Expo.
At the event they spoke about the ways people living with diabetes can stay active, and also preached a broader message of health consciousness.
"We're in St. John's to encourage people living with diabetes to get out there and be active and feel good about themselves," said McLeod.
According to the pair, one of the easiest things to do to stay healthy is walk around town.
But being healthy also has to do with building and maintaining healthy eating habits.
"Finding those things in your life, those triggers that make you go to the bad side, and try to find some better habits that make you go to the good side," said Johnson.
