When the CBC's Lee Pitts and Peter Cowan drove down to have a look this weekend, they discovered the first bergs near Plate Cove. As they travelled toward the the town of Bonavista, the bergs became bigger and more plentiful.
When they ended up at Cape Bonavista, there were more than 70 icebergs dotting the horizon.
