The New Democrats have announced two candidates to run in the Nov. 30 general election.

Chris Bruce will represent the party in Topsail-Paradise, and Donald Rowe will be the NDP candidate in Windsor Lake.

Bruce previously sat on the provincial NDP executive, and ran against Earle McCurdy for the party's leadership earlier this year.

He had left the party during a high-profile party split over Lorraine Michael's leadership in 2013, when two MHAs defected and later switched to the Liberals.

Bruce will be running against and Progressive Conservative Leader and current MHA Paul Davis and Liberal Rex Hillier.

Rowe, a pharmacist, is the former secretary-registrar of the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board.

He will be running against PC candidate and former NDP MP Ryan Cleary, and incumbent Liberal MHA Cathy Bennett.
