First Listen: All Will Be Well by Fortunate Ones

Andrew James O’Brien and Catherine Allen of Fortunate Ones' new holiday album was inspired in part by a walk home last Christmas Eve.

Andrew James O'Brien and Catherine Allen of Fortunate Ones are always gathering material for songs, even on Christmas Eve.

O'Brien and Allen came up with This Empty Street, the single from their holiday album, All Will Be Well less than a year ago, while they were walking to their downtown St. John's home last Dec. 24.

"You could see all the lights and people were nestled in their houses, all tucked away, watching Christmas movies," recalled O'Brien.

"It was such a beautiful, still night that we felt like we were the only two people in the world."

The song is on their EP, All Will Be Well, which features a mix of original music and Christmas covers.
