Hebron tow-out ceremony set for April 18
Massive production platform could be en route to Jeanne d'Arc Basin by end of April
The massive oil production platform that will pump crude from the Hebron oil field in Newfoundland's offshore could be towed out of Trinity Bay by the end of April.
ExxonMobil has confirmed there will be a tow-away ceremony for the gravity based structure on April 18 at the construction site in Bull Arm.
The actual towout could begin less than two weeks after that, with first oil on track by the end of 2017.

The Hebron oil field is located in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin, 350 kilometres southeast of St. John's.
First discovered in 1980, it has an estimated 700 million barrels of recoverable reserves.
