People on Facebook were sharing around a photo taken Friday that showed a Metrobus driving helping an elderly passenger cross a busy street in St. John's.

"Shout out to the bus driver who cared this morning," Devin Cochrane wrote on a Facebook post.

"After seeing this elderly lady have a hard time getting out of her seat, he not only helped her down and off of the bus, but asked if she needed to cross the road and took her over on his arm."

The bus was travelling toward Memorial University when it stopped on Elizabeth Avenue. That's when Cochrane said the driver helped the passenger get to her destination.

Cochrane said the driver was a "really nice guy" who also helped some foreign students find their way to a specific building at Memorial University.
