Highway snowplow overturns near Corner Brook

The operator of a provincial snowplow that went off the highway outside of Corner Brook Friday morning was uninjured, says the Department of Transportation and Works.

The operator of a provincial snowplow that went off the highway outside of Corner Brook Friday morning was uninjured, says the Department of Transportation and Works. 

The plow went off the road one kilometre east of Humber Valley Resort at 6 a.m.

The operator was not hurt when the snowplow he was driving went off the slippery highway. (CBC)

A representative from the department said road conditions were reportedly slippery at the time.

The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution, but he was not hurt.  

The plow will be inspected at the depot, which houses the snow removal equipment, and will be repaired if needed.
