The 2016 Inuit Studies Conference is happening next weekend on Memorial University's St. John's campus and throughout the city, and we're looking for suggestions about what words you want to learn in Inuktitut.

The conference is happening Oct. 7-10 and is co-hosted by Memorial University and the Nunatsiavut government.

It will have over 200 presentations, panel discussions and demonstrations that explore a wide range of disciplines, as well as performances, screenings, exhibitions and concerts by Inuit artists.

A play on Toronto's Nuit Blanche nighttime art festival, iNuit Blanche, billed as the "world's first all-circumpolar, all-night festival of art, music, dance, performance, installation, food and film," is also taking place Oct. 8 in various venues throughout St. John's.

CBC will be covering the event on all platforms, and one upcoming project is helping you learn Inuktitut — at least a little.

We're asking you: what words would you like to learn in Inuktitut? Let us know here.
