Lobster pots
These lobster pots in Change Islands are ready to go for the season. As it started on April 24, no doubt they're already in the water. (Submitted by Calvin Walsh)

As April winds down, we begin the waiting game for summer. We might feel like the gentleman in the photo above, looking out to the sea, thinking of all the warm-weather activities we've been missing, looking forward to all the lobster we can get our hands on. It's the simple things.

Check out this delicious feed of photos, and if you'd like to send one in for a future gallery, scroll to the bottom to find out how.

A dog and the sky
A sundog and a regular (though spectacular) dog in Portugal Cove-St. Philip's. (Submitted by Kim Ploughman)
A blow up Easter bunny, some ducks and some eggs.
There is a lot going on at the Beau Bois Heritage Committee's Easter egg hunt on the Burin Peninsula. Were the ducks invited? How many eggs did they find? Is the bunny trying to trick them by leading them away from the eggs with that sign? Festive answers required. (Submitted by Dan Dober)
A path in snow
Winter's hold still lingers, and makes for gorgeous scenes like this boardwalk stroll in Cartwright. (Submitted by Lorna Knee)
Duck
Some folks might not think a single duck is worth their time, but if there's one thing we know in St. John's, it's Duckworth. (Submitted by Nathan Wilson)
A landscape in winter.
A bird's eye view of Nunatsiavut on the plane to Nain. (Submitted by Connie Boland)
A bald eagle in its nest.
Another from Nathan Wilson this week, snapping this great shot of our friend the Signal Hill bald eagle, who looks like they're expecting again! (Submitted by Nathan Wilson)
Flowers and snow
Some flowers bravely peep through the snow of a Newfoundland and Labrador April, letting us know that better weather is in the offing. (Submitted by David Powell)
