Olympic champion Kaetlyn Osmond is returning to skating in December as part of the Stars on Ice Holiday Tour.

The stars of figure skating and ice dancing — including two-time Olympic medallist Elvis Stojko — begin the tour at the Civic Centre in Corner Brook on Dec. 3 before moving onto the Mary Brown's Centre in St. John's on Dec. 5. The travelling show then moves onto Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, finishing in Red Deer on Dec. 22.

Osmond, the pride of the southern Newfoundland town Marystown and a three-time Olympic medallist, retired from the sport in 2019.

She has kept busy since. She's studying full-time, coaching and teaching workshops and seminars across the country. Tours like Stars on Ice give her a chance to re-connect with fans.

"This is my first tour in two years," Osmond told CBC News during a recent trip home.

"It's going to be fun. It's going to be a great time."
