Leslie and Nancy Jennings 'set for life' with $675K lottery win
A September morning filled with routine turned into a life-changing day for a Conception Bay South couple.
Leslie and Nancy Jennings were running errands in Mount Pearl, making their regular stop to pick up coffee and a Set for Life scratch and win ticket.

Keeping with routine, they sat in their vehicle in the coffee shop parking lot and began scratching their ticket.
"When I saw the three sun symbols, I didn't scratch the prize box, I finished the rest of the ticket," Nancy Jennings said.
"I was hoping for $4, but when the prize said Set for Life — I was shocked. I got out of the van and danced all the way around it and got back in. I actually did that happy dance people talk about."
Jennings said the first person she and her husband told was a police officer.
"We pulled up to the light and I rolled down the window, and the police cruiser was next to us and it was a male cop and a female cop. And I said, 'We won the Set for Life!' And he said, 'Congratulations!' ... I was shaking. He said, 'Do you need a police escort?' And I said, 'No, we know where it's to ... we'll manage,'" said Jennings.
A first-time new vehicle
The top prize is $1,000 a week for 25 years, or a lump sum payment of $675,000.
The Jennings chose the lump sum and plan to share their winnings with their family.
"I have never owned a new vehicle," Jennings said.
"I am looking forward to picking my grandchildren up in a new SUV ... that will make me very proud."
The Jennings were at Atlantic Lottery Corporation offices in St. John's Thursday to pick up their large cheque.
Newfoundland and Labrador players have been on a winning streak with Set for Life.
The Jennings' win marks the tenth Set for Life top prize awarded in the province in the past two years.
