Two children, aged two and four, and a 50-year-old man are dead after fire destroyed their home Saturday night in the northern Labrador town of Nain.
Police and the local volunteer fire department, called around 7:45 p.m. AT, arrived to find the home in flames.
Firefighters were unable to enter because the blaze was so intense, Nain RCMP said.
A woman who managed to get out was treated for smoke inhalation and non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The fire also destroyed a nearby house that was vacant at the time.
Those who died were all from the same family, police said. Their names have not been released.
