Newborn triplets leave hospital, heading home to Burin
A family from Burin were headed home from St. John's Wednesday, finally taking home their triplet boys from hospital.
Jody Howse gave birth to the babies on Dec. 13 — the same day her other son celebrated his third birthday. The three babies have been at the Janeway Children's Hospital ever since.
Howse and her partner Leslie Oake were finally able to head back home Wednesday; with them were triplets Zachary, Wyatt and Ryder.
According to Howse, the babies' older brother is anxious to finally meet the newest additions.
"It's nice to be able to get our family home and get situated and get our big boy acquainted with his little brothers for the first time," said Howse.
Oake said while the couple's older son is excited to meet his new brothers, there's certainly going to be some adjustment.
"He's going to be pretty jealous when we get them all home and he realizes they need all the attention, but … it's gonna be fun," he said.
Travelling with three babies may be a bit complicated, including stopping for feeding all three of them, but after weeks in the hospital the couple said they're excited to finally have everyone under the same roof.
