Princess tea party makes children's wishes come true
The Newfoundland and Labrador chapter of the The Children's Wish Foundation held its first-ever Princess Tea Party with Heroes in St. John's on Saturday.
Children were encouraged to dress up as their favourite princess or superhero, and spent the afternoon in an enchanted castle with their favourite Disney princesses and comic book stars.

Singing, dancing and superhero training were just some of the activities offered to kids, while parents and caregivers could indulge in a massage.
All proceeds from ticket sales went towards granting a wish for a seriously ill child in the province — something six-year-old Nevaeh Denine of the Goulds in St. John's knows a lot about.
"Well, my children's wish was that I wanted to go to Disney and it was really fun," Denine said.
At age three, Denine was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma.
She said her wish was to visit Cinderella's castle at Disney World in Florida — something she and her family got to do last month.
