Robert Newell arrested in St. John's on more than 100 charges

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested a man wanted in connection with more than 100 charges.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested a man wanted in connection with more than 100 charges.

Police say 33-year-old Robert "Bobby" Newell was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday at a home in the east end of St. John's. He was arrested without incident.

Newell was wanted on a charge of assault, 36 charges of theft under $5,000, 38 breaches of court orders and 38 charges of failure to comply with probation orders.

He is expected to appear in provincial court in St. John's on Friday.
